How to Homestead Wherever You Are
Have you ever dreamed of living a simpler life out in the country? Maybe you have visions living off the land, growing your own organic food, stocking your pantry with jars of home-canned goodness, waking up to the sound of a rooster crowing and spending your days nourishing your family with whatever you can make with your own two hands. Does this sound familiar?
If so, you might be a homesteader at heart. But if you’re thinking “sure, but I’ve never actually done any of those things before. I wouldn’t know the first thing about how to start homesteading!” Or maybe it’s more along the lines of “ya, that sound great and all, but I live in a high-rise in the heart of downtown!”
Well fear not my friend. I’m here to tell you that it is possible to homestead wherever you are. All you need to begin is that homesteader heart, and if you’re reading this you probably have that already: A burning desire to go back to a simpler way of life, to live more sustainably, to become more self-reliant. If you have that, you can start homesteading regardless of where you live or what stage of life you’re in.
