Essential Oil Diffuser Blends for Christmas
These 10 essential oil diffuser blends for Christmas will have your home smelling like the holidays the all-natural way with just one easy push of your diffuser button!
I love my diffuser. When I was gifted my first set of essential oils, I got a diffuser as a bonus. At the time, I didn’t know much about essential oils and I wasn’t “sold” on them yet. So they sat there with the diffuser collecting dust for a while before I started to learn how to use them.
Finally I decided to try them out. The diffuser was a great way to get started because I didn’t really have to worry about things like dilution ratios or phytotoxicity or anything else one might have to worry about with topical applications.
Just add water and a few drops of essential oils of your choice and hit the power button on your diffuser. Then enjoy the fragrance and the health benefits of essential oils as they waft through your home.
I started using my diffuser here and there, but at the time I was using an expensive brand of oils and I was a bit stingy with them because I couldn’t really afford to reorder. But as soon as I switched to Plant Therapy (affiliate link), I was able to stock up for way less money, and so gradually I began using my diffuser more and more. Now I use my diffuser almost daily and I can’t imagine going back to using harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances to add scent to my home.
Honestly, before I got into essential oils, I was a little addicted to synthetic fragrances. Way back in the day I used to actually use those store-bought room sprays that come with an explosive AND a poison warning on the front. Then I transitioned to mostly using candles full of synthetic fragrances to burn in my home to make it smell beautiful.
Then I started making my own candles, but I still used synthetic fragrances to scent them. Finally, as I began to learn more about essential oils and the benefits of going all-natural, I also started learning more about the dangers of chemicals and synthetic fragrances, and I began to cut them out of my life completely.
Today I make all of my own candles and room sprays with 100% essential oils. But the diffuser is still my favourite way to add the scent and benefits of essential oils to the air that I and my family breathe.
I like to use all sorts of different oils for different health benefits, but I must admit I most often choose the oils I want to diffuse because of the way they smell. And so I also tend to choose my diffuser blends based on what time of year it is.
Different Diffuser Blends for Different Seasons
In the spring and summer, I opt for light, fresh, clean scents like lavender, lemon, bergamot and lime.
In the winter, especially at Christmas time, I have a tendency toward using warm, comforting oils like orange, cinnamon and clove (great for fall too!), as well as oils that smell like a fresh snowfall or a Christmas tree farm!
I’ve spent the past couple of years building my oil collection and working on my blends, and I’ve come up with a few favourite blends for this time of year. Of course, I’m always looking to expand my repertoire, so if you have your own favourite blends (Christmas or otherwise), please let me know in the comments down below:)
For now, here are my top 10 favourite essential oil diffuser blends for Christmas…

If you’ve ever grown your own garlic, you might have noticed the spiral-shaped shoots that suddenly pop up in the centre of the stem, usually about a month or so before the garlic bulbs themselves are ready to be harvested.
These are garlic scapes, and believe it or not- they make delicious pesto! Get the recipe through the link in my bio- https://thehouseandhomestead.com/garlic-scape-pesto/

This radish top pesto recipe makes good use of the edible radish greens that often get discarded once they’re separated from the root. The end result is a peppery, slightly spicy twist on a classic pesto recipe.
A perfect condiment for all your summer snacking!

Who else saves their canning lids? 🙋🏻♀️
Even though canning lids should never be reused for CANNING, they are super useful for storing other things like:
• Dry goods (beans, rice, oatmeal, pasta, spices, etc.)
• Dehydrated fruit and vegetables
• DIY home and body products (body butter, bath salts, sugar scrubs, home cleaners, lids for candles, etc.
• Store dried herbs for your home apothecary
• Punch holes in them and let your kiddos collect bugs and nature treasures in a Mason jar!
• Paint them or cover with fabric to make your own ornaments and crafts
• And of course, save them to store open jars of home-canned food in the fridge!
I’m sure I’m missing some things.
Can you think of any other ways to reuse canning lids? Let me know in the comments!
Oh, and P.S., there are just two days left to save 15% off your order at @denalicanning !!!
Use code ANNA15 to save 15% off your order of $75 or more at denalicanning.com.

Calendula has to be my favourite flower to grow. For starters, it’s incredibly easy to grow from seed and requires very little care. Second, it looks gorgeous in the garden. But third and most importantly, calendula is packed with medicinal properties and is an incredibly powerful, natural home remedy.

Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for these scent blends…I bought a candy cane scented oil blend 1 year ago and loved loved loved it – and naturally, because I adore the scent, it took very little time to use it all up…I’ve been searching for it ever since and now, thanks to you, I have it! ?
So glad you like the blends! I love making my own blends as it saves money and I can customize it exactly how I like it. Right now we’re diffusing a fall blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, patchouli and cardamom and it smells SOOO good! Can’t wait for Christmas though:)
